читать дальшеDear Potential Au Pair,
We need an Au pair from September 1 2007 to around December 25 2007.
It may also be possible to renew the contract and be our au pair in
the Spring 2008 on mutual agreement. This is a great job for someone
who wants to live in a nice house instead of a dorm and speak -
improve their - English.
The household consists of 13 year old son who will be in 7th grade
in the English International School and American father. The son
takes flute, orchestra and fishing club and may start other hobbies
in the Fall.. 2 daughters, age 7 and 11 are at home every other weekend.
The kids want someone who will sled, play sports in the yard, take
them to movies, swim, be active and do fun things, bowl, watch
movies and TV and MOST IMPORTANT: wants to be friends with them and
have fun with the kids.
Duties: au pair will be home when the son is (mostly) and help get
the son ready in the mornings. The father teaches in a University in
a different town Wednesday - Friday for 14 weeks in the Spring and
Fall and the au pair will take care of the son and run the household
while the father is away Wednesday and Thursday nights. Some other
evenings and nights will be required when the father teaches night
classes and goes to conferences.
The new au pair should supervise - look after - keep the son
company. The Au pair will have the use of a car while father is
teaching in the other town and will drive the son to flute and other
hobbies and make sure he is well taken care of. You will be free
every weekend and days when son is in school and other times as
agreed. But the aupair should do things with the girls sometime when
they are here.
Housework is expected from au pair: cleaning: shopping, cooking,
vacuuming, dusting, laundry, washing the dishes (we have a
dishwasher and clothes dryer). Since the son is 13 - he doesn't
really need a lot of care like a 4 year old would. If you know how
to cook it is a definite plus.
Au pair should speak good English.
The kids are not big fans of heavy metal bands like HIM so we hope
we don't have to listen to that constantly. Also, so we hope we
don't get computer addicts who surf the Net all the time, room
hermits or all day sleepers. We hope for someone who would like to
be an active member of the family.
I would like someone who can work independently and accomplish their
tasks without being told what to do all the time and make a nice
environment for the kids.
Tampere is Finland's second largest city and is probably the best
place to live in Finland with a multitude of theaters, sports
activities, special events and an active night life. We live in
Vuorentausta 20 minutes from the University (15 from the center) on
Bus 18. The house is located across the street from a beautiful
forest with hiking trails and lots of nature.
Pay will be: 252 EUR per month as pocket money plus room and board,
language or other courses, free high speed access to the internet,
cell phone, bus pass, nice bedroom with bathroom plus other
benefits. The total salary according to the 'taxman' with everything
included is like 660 Euros but 252 is paid in cash minus tax. This
is a standard Finnish au pair contract but the cell phone and bus
pass are extra and the job is pretty easy because it is basically
taking care of one 13-year-old boy and cleaning and shopping.
Our last two au pairs have been full-time university students. So,
it is possible to study and have this job and study at the same time.
Please send us your application with photo (kids want that) if you
are interested and want more information.
Hope to hear from you :-)
